These are the team memberships for the various Assignments that require work in teams.
Learning to work effectively in a team is a crucial skill in today's workplace. The purpose of teams in COMP 130 and COMP 200 is to learn to both present your ideas to another person and to listen to their viewpoints to work out a common solution. The ability to pursuade others of your ideas through logical and effective arguments while respectfully and critically listening to and integrating opposing ideas will serve you in many ways throughout your career. Do not work separately, coming together only to copy answers to each other as this defeats the entire pedagogical purpose of being in teams.
Important Notes:
- Because an odd number of people in a class, one student may be assigned to work without a team on any given assignment.
- Requests to work alone when already assigned to a team will NOT be considered except in extenuating circumstances.
- If you are having difficulties with your partner, please let the staff know right away.
- If you can't identify your partner by their NetID, you can either simply e-mail them at netid@rice.edu or search for their NetID on http://www.rice.edu.
