Hive Assault: Gameplay

The current supported styles of gameplay available for Hive Assault are Single player (on the network) and Multiplayer, which includes a Free For All, as well as Multi-Team play.

Single player quite difficult, but involves playing alone, and trying to score as many points as possible by killing aliens. Very straightforward. Currently there are no plot elements in the game, and we're probably not going to be having any either.

Multiplayer gaming is supported over the network, and can either be a free for all, or can support multiple teams competing to get the flag the the bottom of the level. It is possible to have as many teams as you like, composed of as many people as you like. Each team will be assigned a color, and can compete to get the flag, and hold it as long as possible to gain more points. The flag will dissapear after a maximum of 3 minutes, even if it is currently being held, and return to the center of the queen's chamber of the hive. (Otherwise gameplay would gravitate to the surface quite quickly).
