Week of Sept 8, 2009 At this point you should be ready to start on the assigned solid part to be built and dimensioned. The hardcopy dimensioned drawings are to be turned for marking and revision as needed. The first correct solid model will be saved as an *.stl file and sent to the 3D printer. You will be required to dimension your automatically created drawings such that they are complete (allow the part to be built) and neat. On the Help Files page, the fourth link gives examples of dimensions that look good and are complete. The fifth link shows how to specifically manage SW default dimension layouts for better looks and improved communication.
