How to Connect to the OWLNET U: drive from your personal Windows Computer.
<p>1.  If you are living off campus, be sure to get VPN connection first.
(To get VPN connection, you need to go to MUDD to get set up for it).

<p>2.  Go to My Computer, select Tools/Map Network Drive...: 
    A dialog window will pop up showing the selected drive on your machine
(for example, W:)

<p>3.  You will need to select a folder on OWLNET by typing in the following
    \\storage.rice.edu\home\[the initial letter of your Net ID]\[your NETID].
    For example:
    <a href="file://storage.rice.edu/home/b/bogusID">\\storage.rice.edu\home\b\bogusID</a>

<p>4.  Then click on Connect Using a different user name: a dialog window will
    pop up asking for a user name and a password.
</p>
<p>5.  For the user name enter: adrice\[your NetID], for example adrice\bodugID
</p>
<p>6.  For the password enter your e-mail password (the e-mail password has been      set as your NetID password0.
</p>
<p>7.  Click OK
</p>
<p>8.  Click Finish
</p>
<p>9. You should be able to click on drive W: (or whatever drive letter you use
    in step 3) and connect to your U: drive on OWLNET. </p>
