COMP 404 Fall 2014	Communications Assignment 5: Strategies vs. Commands

Question:  

Find and discuss at least two examples each of strategies and commands in use in the real world (i.e. at least 4 examples total).  Discuss how the strategies and commands promote decoupling, flexiblity and extensibility in the systems in which they are involved.

• Avoid examples where the strategy or command is being expressed as a written or verbal form.
• Be sure to clearly and fully support your assertion that your example is an embodiment of a strategy or command.
  • Clearly explain how the notion of abstract behavior applies to each example.
  • Clearly explain how the notion of being used with or without semantic apply to each example.
• If your example is that of a strategy, explain why you think that strategies are the appropriate choice over commands in that situation and vice versa if the example is of a command.
