Derek Ruths, Predicting the Structure of Cancer

Most cancer results from alterations to the established signaling network that governs cellular response to external stimulation. Because of the massive size of cell signaling networks and the limited speech with which experimental work can be conducted, there is a need for computation approaches to reconstructing and simulating cellular signaling networks. In this presentation, I talk about two different novel computational techniques that allow experimental biologiest to rapidly gain insights into the signaling networks implicated in cancer.
