We plan to implement a matched filter to find Waldo in a "Where's Waldo" image. We will build upon the previous work done by DSP Pictomaniacs in Elec 431 (1996). We shall use the existing algorithm, but expand it to match color as well as shape. Also, we will attempt to implement several filters to find Waldo (i.e. a hat filter, a face filter, etc.). We will use this information to find the area of highest correlation of all these features. This will allow us to find Waldo, or a facsimile thereof, EH?
