There is no required text for this class.  You are assigned to
select a finite element text, from Fondren Library, that is related
to your research or area of interest. (Or purchase one or borrow one
if you prefer.)

The Homework assignment is to complete that selection, submit a 
hardcopy listing the title and author, and briefly explaining why
you selected that book.

FYI: All class hardcopy materials should be turned in after class,
or submitted through the wall slot "Dropbox" by the front door of 
the ME building.
Be sure to list the course number, for Prof Akin, and your name.

FYI: Extensive lecture notes, with an index, will be make available
online.
