Computers in class

We encourage you to bring your own laptop to class. However, leave Facebook and similar distractions to some other time.

Honor Code

Individual quizzes and assignments:
You may discuss problem-solving approaches with other students, and you can help find another student's programming mistakes, but you are expected to do the bulk of the work and the final coding yourself. You may use any text or online resources, except for requesting others to do your work.
Pair assignments:
You should work almost exclusively with your partner, although you may help find other students' programming mistakes. Pairs should submit only one copy of the assignment. You may use any text or online resources, except for requesting others to do your work.
Some accomodation will be made if there are an odd number of students.
Individual exams:
You may not collaborate with other students. You may use only resources provided as part of this course or your own notes.

Late assignments

Assignments are due when specified on OWL-Space.

Contact the instructor to request a penalty-free extension. Valid excuses include severe illness, family emergencies, and school-related travel. Invalid excuses include having too much work and mismanaging your time.

Grading disputes

If you believe that your work was graded incorrectly, please contact the original grader within 14 days of the work being returned, and describe what should be regraded and why. If you still disagree with the grading, then contact the course instructor.

Students with disabilities should contact the course instructor and Disability Support Services regarding any accommodations that they may need.
