Money. Money makes the world go 'round. Money is the grease that keeps the machine known as the global economy humming smoothly. Of course, in today's world, most of the global economy is run by computers. It is therefore vital that these computers know how to recognize money.

Our project involves devoloping an image recognition program that will distinguish between various denominations of U.S. currency (both new and old versions). The program can also detect crude attempts at counterfeiting.
